Photoshoots on the Pink Yacht: Angles, Light and Outfits

Some yachts are pretty. The Pink Yacht is a set. Every surface — hull, decks, seating, galley, cabins — is pink, which makes it one of the most photographed boats in Dubai Marina. If you are planning a shoot, here is how to get the most out of it.
The five best spots on board
- The foredeck — a wide pink sun area at the bow. Shot from the flybridge looking down, it gives the classic "all pink" frame.
- The flybridge — pink bimini overhead, Marina towers behind. The best place for skyline shots.
- The stern and swim platform — teak steps against the pink hull; great for full-length outfit shots.
- The side deck — a long pink walkway along the hull with the water beside you.
- The salon and cabins — pink sofas, cushions and bedding for soft, indoor portraits.

When the light is best
Golden hour — the last hour before sunset — turns the pink warm and glowing, and the low sun flatters faces. Midday light is harsh but gives the brightest, most saturated pink; use the shaded flybridge and aft deck then. After dark, the Marina lights become the background.
Outfit colours that work
- White and cream — the cleanest contrast against pink.
- Black — bold and editorial.
- Gold and metallics — pick up the sunset.
- Pink on pink — works if the shades differ; a hot pink against the pastel boat reads well.
- Avoid busy prints, which fight the boat for attention.
Booking a shoot
Shoots are booked like any charter: from AED 1,800 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. Two hours is enough for most personal shoots; brand shoots with several looks usually want three or more. A photographer can be added when you book. For general tips that apply to any yacht, see our yacht photography guide and the content creator's guide.

Best season and timing in Dubai
October to April is the most comfortable season on the water, with warm days and mild evenings — and the busiest, so weekend dates go first. From May to September it is hot; choose late afternoon or evening and use the shaded flybridge, aft deck and air-conditioned salon. Sunset in Dubai falls at roughly 5:30–6:00 pm in winter and around 7:00 pm in midsummer, so time your booking to catch the last hour of daylight.
