Private vs Shared Fishing Trips in Dubai: Which to Book

Fishing trips in Dubai come in two kinds: shared trips, where you buy a seat on a boat with other people, and private trips, where the whole boat is yours. Neither is always better. Here is how to choose.
Shared trips
You pay per person and join whoever else has booked. It suits one or two people who want to try fishing once. The trade-offs: a fixed schedule, a fixed route, and fishing next to strangers.
Private trips
You book the whole boat. On the Sea Hunter 34ft that is AED 650 per hour with a six-hour minimum, for up to 12 guests, with gear, bait, captain, crew, water and soft drinks included.

The differences that matter
- Price per person — once a group reaches about six, a private boat often costs the same or less per person than separate seats, and it is all yours.
- Time — on a private trip the day runs around your group; you decide when to break.
- Comfort — the Sea Hunter has a shaded T-top, a cabin with a double bed, and a toilet and shower.
- Who is on board — only your people: family, friends or colleagues.
When a private boat is worth it
For families with children, groups of four or more, birthdays and team days, and anyone who wants the day to run at their own pace. For per-person numbers, see what a fishing trip in Dubai costs; for families, a family fishing trip in Dubai.

When to go
The cooler months, roughly October to April, are the most comfortable for a long day on an open deck, and they are the busiest — weekend dates go first. From May to September, book an early start and fish the morning before the heat builds. For which fish turn up when, see our fishing charter guide.

Yes — a toilet and shower below deck, next to a cabin with a double bed.

Yes, with Tabby or Tamara at checkout.
